Privacy Commitment
YStar operates an international B2B wholesale storefront for phone accessories, smart accessories, sourcing requests, samples, and related trade services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, retain, and protect personal information in a business purchasing context.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This Policy applies to visitors, account users, business buyers, distributors, resellers, procurement contacts, supplier contacts, logistics contacts, and representatives of companies that interact with our storefront or trade services.
Most information we process is business contact and transaction information. However, business information can still include personal information when it identifies an individual representative, consignee, payment contact, or account user.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, from your company, from transactions and site usage, and from trusted service providers where needed to operate a cross-border B2B business.
- Business identity data: name, title, company, business registration details, tax IDs, resale or exemption documents, country, and business role.
- Contact data: email, phone, billing address, shipping address, consignee information, importer details, and communication preferences.
- Account and security data: username, password credentials, authentication logs, permissions, device identifiers, and fraud prevention signals.
- Inquiry and transaction data: RFQs, samples, purchase orders, quotes, pro forma invoices, orders, payments, credits, returns, RMA evidence, shipment records, and customs documents.
- Product and sourcing data: preferred SKUs, compatibility needs, custom specifications, artwork, logos, packaging files, target price, MOQ, destination market, and quality requirements.
- Payment and finance data: payment method tokens, payment status, credit checks, billing history, bank transfer references, and chargeback or risk review data. Full card numbers are handled by payment providers, not stored by us.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser, device, operating system, pages viewed, search terms, cart actions, cookies, analytics events, referral source, and approximate location.
- Communications data: emails, chat messages, support tickets, call notes, feedback, survey responses, and marketing consent records.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information where necessary to perform or prepare a business transaction, operate our storefront, comply with law, protect legitimate business interests, or act with your consent where required.
- Create and manage business accounts, buyer profiles, permissions, wishlists, carts, quotes, and order history.
- Respond to RFQs, sample requests, custom sourcing requests, OEM/ODM requests, and product compatibility questions.
- Process orders, payments, invoices, credit notes, tax documentation, shipping labels, tracking, customs documents, returns, and RMA claims.
- Verify business eligibility, prevent fraud, screen for sanctions or trade restrictions, manage credit risk, and protect site security.
- Coordinate with suppliers, factories, logistics providers, payment processors, customs brokers, tax advisers, and support tools needed to fulfill B2B orders.
- Improve catalog quality, pricing programs, search, recommendations, buyer support, analytics, and site performance.
- Send transactional messages, service updates, policy changes, quote follow-ups, and marketing communications where permitted by law.
4. Legal Bases and Regional Rights
Depending on your location, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, California, or other jurisdictions, we may rely on legal bases such as contract necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, consent, or protection against fraud and security threats.
Subject to applicable law and verification, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about automated decision-making and cross-border transfers. Some requests may be limited where we must retain records for tax, customs, audit, dispute, fraud prevention, or contractual reasons.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep the site functional, remember preferences, secure sessions, measure performance, understand buyer journeys, and improve relevant B2B content.
You can manage browser-level cookie controls and, where available, site-level preferences. Blocking necessary cookies may affect login, cart, checkout, quote, and account functions.
For more information, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense. We disclose information only as needed for business operations, legal compliance, transaction fulfillment, or with your instruction.
- Service providers: hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, payment, fraud prevention, email, customer support, CRM, security, and development tools.
- Trade partners: suppliers, factories, inspection partners, packaging vendors, logistics providers, carriers, warehouses, customs brokers, and documentation providers.
- Professional and legal parties: auditors, accountants, banks, insurers, legal advisers, tax advisers, dispute resolution bodies, regulators, customs authorities, and law enforcement where required.
- Business transfers: information may be transferred in a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, asset sale, or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
7. International Transfers
Because we support international wholesale trade, personal information may be processed in countries different from where you are located. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual commitments, access controls, vendor due diligence, transfer impact assessments, data minimization, and security measures designed to protect cross-border transfers.
8. Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for a B2B e-commerce environment, including access controls, encrypted transmission where appropriate, vendor controls, monitoring, and limited internal access.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining account credential security, using strong passwords, restricting internal access, and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
We retain information for as long as needed to operate accounts, fulfill transactions, support warranties and RMA claims, comply with tax, accounting, customs, audit, legal, and dispute obligations, prevent fraud, and maintain business records. Retention periods vary by record type and jurisdiction.
9. Marketing, Communications, and Preferences
We may send service communications related to accounts, quotes, orders, shipments, documents, security, and policy updates. These are necessary for the business relationship and may not always be optional.
Where permitted, we may send marketing about products, wholesale programs, promotions, coupons, sourcing support, and industry updates. You may unsubscribe or change preferences using available tools or by contacting us.
10. Children and Consumer Use
Our storefront is intended for commercial buyers and is not directed to children or consumer household purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal, regulatory, or technology changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes may be communicated through the site, account notices, or email where appropriate.
